MorseHub

Terms of service

The rules for using MorseHub, in plain English.

Effective October 12, 2026

Agreeing to these terms

By starting a free trial, buying MorseHub or using it, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy. You confirm that when you tick the box before your trial or your order. If you do not agree, do not use MorseHub.

Who makes MorseHub

MorseHub is made by The Horizon Store. In these terms "we" means The Horizon Store and "you" means the person using MorseHub.

Stripe is the merchant of record for the sale. It runs the checkout, takes the payment, collects the sales tax and sends your receipts.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older to start a trial, buy MorseHub or use it. MorseHub is for your own phone and your own texts and calls.

You are responsible for your account: the phone you register, the computers you pair and any app you connect to your account. Keep pairing codes and keys private. If a computer is lost or a key leaks, remove it in Settings right away. We are not responsible for what is sent through a computer or key you paired.

What MorseHub does

MorseHub relays the texts on your phone to the computers you pair, so you can read and send them there. You can also start, answer and end calls from a paired computer. Texts and calls still go out from your phone, through its SIM, on your carrier's plan. Your carrier's charges and limits still apply.

You set up the phone app yourself, over ADB, on any Android phone of your choice. MorseHub is proven to work on Android 8 to 13. Use it on anything else at your own risk.

The phone app is installed from morsehub.net, not from an app store. Turning on USB debugging, installing apps over ADB and any extra steps a phone needs (like the Light Phone II's bootloader step) are your choice and at your own risk, including any effect on your phone's warranty or its updates. Your phone, its SIM and its carrier plan are yours to look after.

Free trial

The free trial lasts 15 days from when your phone is set up, meaning the moment it first registers with MorseHub. It needs no card. Each person and each phone number gets one free trial, and we check the number with a code we text to it. We may end a trial that gets around this rule.

If the trial ends and you have not subscribed, the account is paused. See Paused accounts below.

Price and billing

You pay for the first 3 months up front. After those 3 months, billing goes monthly on its own until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your card for the first 3 months and then every month after that until you cancel.

  • The first 20 paying customers pay $15 for the first 3 months, then $5.99 a month.
  • Everyone after that pays $20 or more for the first 3 months, then $7.99 or more a month.

The price you pay is the one shown at checkout when you order. Prices for new orders can change at any time without notice.

Prices are in US dollars and do not include sales tax. Where tax applies, it is added on top and shown at checkout.

If you subscribe during your free trial with 2 or more free days left, you keep them: the 3 paid months start when the free days end. With less than 2 days left, the paid months start right away.

Your receipt for the first charge reads "MorseHub, first 3 months". From the fourth month on, receipts read "MorseHub monthly".

Price changes on a subscription you already have

If we raise the price of a subscription that is already active, we email you at least 30 days before the new price is charged. You can cancel before then and never pay it.

Founder price

A founder spot is yours once your payment goes through. The founder price of $5.99 a month stays the same for as long as that subscription stays active.

If you cancel and come back later, you pay the regular price at that time.

Canceling and refunds

Cancel any time in Manage subscription. MorseHub keeps working to the end of the period you already paid for, then the account is paused.

That includes the first 3 months. Canceling inside them means the monthly billing never starts, but there is no partial refund for the time left.

Other refunds are up to us, except where the law requires one. If we refund a payment in full, the subscription ends and the account is paused right away. Your saved texts are kept for 30 days after that, then deleted.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe tries again. MorseHub keeps working for 7 days. If the payment still has not gone through by then, the account is paused until you fix the card in Manage subscription.

Paused accounts

When an account is paused, your phone and computers disconnect and nothing new is stored. Your saved texts stay on the relay, encrypted.

If the pause is because a free trial ended, a subscription ended or a payment was refunded, the saved texts are deleted 30 days after the pause. We email you 7 days before that happens. Subscribe again inside those 30 days and the same account comes back, with no new setup.

Not for emergencies

MorseHub is not an emergency service. It cannot reach 911, a call started from a computer cannot be a 911 call, and a text sent through it can be late or not arrive. In an emergency, call or text from the phone itself.

Fair use and the law

You are responsible for every text and call sent from your phone through MorseHub, including anything sent from any computer or app you connect to your account. Every law on texting and calling applies to you, the same as if you used the phone by hand. That includes the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Do Not Call rules, the CAN-SPAM Act where it applies, Maryland's and every other state's telemarketing, anti-spam and harassment laws, and your carrier's rules.

You may not use MorseHub to:

  • send spam, or bulk or marketing texts to people who did not agree to get them;
  • make automated or prerecorded calls, or call or text people who asked you to stop;
  • harass, threaten, stalk or scam anyone, or pretend to be someone else;
  • send anything illegal;
  • resell MorseHub or run a texting or calling service for other people with it;
  • break into, overload, copy or take apart the relay, the apps or anyone else's account.

MorseHub does not record calls. If you record a call some other way, Maryland and several other states require everyone on the call to agree first.

The relay caps how many texts and calls go out in an hour or a day. We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules, without a refund, and we may report illegal use to the authorities.

Your texts and data

Your texts are encrypted on your phone before they leave it and not decrypted until they reach your computer. What we keep, for how long, and who else is involved is in the Privacy policy.

Keep your own copies of anything important. We are not responsible for texts that are lost.

The apps

While your account is active, we give you a personal license to use the MorseHub apps. You cannot sell, rent or pass that license on. MorseHub's software, name and look stay ours.

MorseHub depends on other companies: your carrier, Stripe, Cloudflare, Twilio (for the trial code) and your browser maker's push service. Their outages and their own terms are outside our control.

The service as it is

MorseHub is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that it fits a particular purpose, as far as the law allows. We work to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, or that every text or call goes through on time.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for missed or late texts or calls, lost data, or any indirect, incidental, special or punitive losses, and our total responsibility for anything is limited to what you paid for MorseHub in the 3 months before the problem. Some states do not allow some of these limits; there, they apply only as far as that state's law allows.

If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used MorseHub or because you broke these terms or the law, you cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.

Ending

You can stop using MorseHub at any time. We can stop offering MorseHub, or end an account for a good reason, such as breaking these terms. If we shut MorseHub down for everyone, we email you first and refund the unused part of any period you paid for.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. For a change that matters, we email you at least 14 days before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page changes. Using MorseHub after that means you accept the new terms. Price changes follow the price sections above.

Problems and the law

If something goes wrong, email us first and give us 30 days to put it right. You can always use small claims court instead.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Maryland, except a small claims case, which can go to small claims court where you live.

These terms and the Privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us. If a court finds part of them invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part at some point, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer these terms and your account to whoever takes over MorseHub, and the terms keep applying.
